Andrew Falconer PPC

The members of Runnymede & Weybridge Liberal Democrats have selected Andrew Falconer to be their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for the forthcoming General Election.

Andrew is a careers adviser working at Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham, where he supports graduates entering the job market for the first time as well as experienced professionals seeking career changes. He has worked for Liberal Democrat MP Sir Robert Smith researching environmental, energy and consumer affairs issues. Andrew's political interests include consumer affairs, housing, the elderly and transport.

Commenting on his selection, Andrew Falconer said:

"I am delighted to have been selected to stand for the Liberal Democrats in Runnymede and Weybridge. Living and working in the constituency means that I can see first hand how issues affect local residents. With an imploding Labour party and complacent Conservatives, Liberal Democrat policies will resonate with residents who are fed up with the constant swing from New Labour to old Conservatives."

Alan Whiteley, Chair of Runnymede & Weybridge Liberal Democrats said:

"Andrew brings a real commitment to the Lib Dem principles of fairness, openness and sustainability, with a passion to apply those principles to the benefit of everyone as they face the challenges life brings. I believe that, as people get to know Andrew over the coming weeks, they will see how well he understands the concerns of the broadest cross-section of local residents, and will prove a valuable asset to the constituency as its MP."
