Councillor |Roy Taylor is standing down as Surrey County Councillor for the Walton South and Oatlands Division. An election will be held on 6 May 2010 to choose his successor.
Voters in the Walton South and Oatlands Division will be able to choose a councillor to serve the remaining three years of Cllr. Taylor's term of office on the County Council
An election is already scheduled to elect a councillor in Oatlands ward on 6th May, where Cllr Taylor will not be standing again to represent this ward of Elmbridge Borough Council
If you live in the Walton South and Oatlands division and are registered to vote you will be able to cast your vote between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm at your normal polling station. You will be sent a poll card at the start of April giving details of your polling station.

The deadline to register to vote in this election is Tuesday 20 April 2010
The deadline for postal vote applications is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 20 April 2010.
The deadline for proxy vote applications is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 27 April 2010.
If the general election is also held on 6 May the borough and county votes will be counted at 10.00 a.m. on Friday 7 May at Sandown Park Racecourse. The results will be announced on Friday 7 May and will be published on the website. If the general election is not held on 6 May the borough and county election votes will be counted on the evening of Thursday 6 May.
